Our Story

7 Numbers Restaurant was founded in 2001 on Eglinton Avenue by a passionate mother-and-son duo, Mama Rosa and Vito. Rooted in the rich culinary traditions of Southern Italy—especially Puglia—they brought with them a deep love for simple, soulful cooking inspired by generations of family recipes.

Following the success of their first location, a second restaurant opened on the Danforth in 2003, continuing their vision of sharing authentic Italian comfort food with the community. Their cooking reflects the heart of cucina povera—honest, rustic dishes made with care—while embracing fresh, local, and farm-raised ingredients.

More than just a restaurant, 7 Numbers is a place where community comes together. It’s about gathering around the table, sharing stories, and experiencing the warmth, generosity, and true spirit of Italian soul food.
